STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

At Picco Music Academy we want to make music education affordable and accessible. Our Student Scholarship Program is made possible by donations and designed to help families who have a gross annual income below $50,000. By filling out the form below and providing the requested items, applicants have the opportunity to be selected to receive discounted tuition for one year. Applications will be accepted each quarter and recipients selected as funds are available. 

WHO MAY RECEIVE ASSISTANCE?

Tuition reduction is available to students that meet the following requirements:

    1. Parents must submit an application supplying all pertinent family financial information to verify income and insure eligibility for assistance.

    2. The account must be kept current (paid as agreed between Picco Music Academy and the student each month). Accounts that become delinquent by two months or more lose their eligibility for financial assistance.

    3. All students receiving financial assistance must attend agreed upon weekly lessons. If a student is not available for their lesson for any reason it is not the responsibility of the teacher to make up the missed lesson, or the responsibility of Picco Music Academy to reimburse the student for the missed lesson. In addition to this, students are asked to contact their teacher 24 hours in advance if a student will be unavailable for their lesson.

    4. If the student misses more than 2 lessons in a month Picco Music Academy reserves  the right to cancel financial assistance.

WHAT IS THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE?

    1. An application for student assistance and all attachments must be completed in English.

    2. Proof of income for both parents must be provided in the form of last year's income tax records and a copy of the last two pay stubs. In addition, a budget declaring all normal monthly income and expenses must be submitted.

    3. The director will review all potential applicants and recommend to the executive board all applicants that meet eligibility requirements for final approval.

    4. The executive board chair will notify all applicants in writing about the approval or denial of the worthy student assistance request. Re-application is possible when there is a change in financial status.

WHEN WILL THE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP BE APPLIED?

Tuition reduction credits will be applied to a student’s account on a monthly basis only after agreed upon payment by the student has been made.

HOW MUCH FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE?

If a student is selected to be a recipient of the Student Scholarship they will receive financial assistance for 66% of their tuition each month for one year. 33% of tuition is the responsibility of the student. At the end of that year, a student may re-apply for financial assistance. Applications will be accepted each quarter and recipients selected as funds are available.
